National Weather Service to Hold SKYWARN Class in Grand Isle 

The National Weather Service will be conducting a SKYWARN class for anyone interested on Sunday evening, November 16^th  at 6:00 pm at the North Hero Volunteer Fire Station.  The program will describe the Weather Service and their use of spotters, the types of weather that impacts our area in the winter and how to be aware of it, winter safety, how to report weather conditions, and how to access weather information for yourself. 

The program is developed by the National Weather Service and is being sponsored by the Grand Isle County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC 13) of Grand Isle County.  There is no charge for the program and all are welcome to attend.  Refreshments will be served.

HAZMAT Awareness Training. 
Chris Herrick is organizing a HAZMAT Awareness Course in Grand Isle County.  No date yet.  Must take a refresher course each year.
